It calls itself the only adult drive-in in the southwest, and the record suggests it can go further than that. It opened in 1950 as an ordinary drive-in, turned to adult films on 9 October 1981 with a double bill of Little Girls Blue and Intimate Illusions, and it has not stopped since. Forty-five years.

There are three different things on the site and you do not have to use any of them to use the others. The field, where people sit in their cars. Two indoor theatres. Ten private rooms on a twenty dollar deposit. And a shop with a smoke counter in it, which is where the money probably actually comes from.

What people report. A bisexual regular describes activity in the indoor theatres and men in the car park, and prefers it to the Eros up the road. Somebody in August 2025 found it quieter than the reputation and said the night was dull. A couple hoping to buy lingerie got dirty looks and left inside five minutes, which tells you what it is and what it is not.

Phone first. More than one person has complained that nobody answers, and it is a long way out Montana Avenue to find a locked gate.

The freshest evidence in this city. A visitor in January 2026 enjoyed the private booths and the theatre itself and recommended both, and added that you might get lucky.

A long-standing customer writing in May 2022 laid out the chain as it then stood: this store, the one in the middle of town, and a third over the state line in New Mexico by the horse track. Two of the three had theatres. The middle-of-town one was being refurbished when he left.

One of the clearest accounts anybody has written for this directory, and it came from a woman. She and her fiancé had been in before to buy toys, came back in January 2023 to try the theatre, and the staff explained how the arcade worked without a flicker. Seven dollars for the two of them, exact change. You put the money in the machine, the machine unlocks the theatre door, and in you go. They stayed half an hour.

Her description of the room was clean and sterile, and she said she did not feel gross sitting in there, which is faint praise that counts for a great deal on this site. Her one piece of advice to other women is to be escorted in, and she notes that in Houston that was often a house rule rather than a suggestion.

The coin-operated door is worth noting as a mechanism. A machine takes the money and releases the lock, so nobody at the counter has to watch who goes through, and nobody has to be let in.

Out on the Gateway service road beside the interstate, behind a motel. A traveller killing time before a flight in April 2022 described it plainly: a sex shop, a booth arcade and a smoke shop in one building, clean, with a thin selection in places.

A local in October 2023 called it the only place in town to go, which the rest of this page shows is not true, but it is the biggest of them.

A 1914 house that went from family theatre to discount second-run to X-rated during the porno chic years, and finished as the Palace Adult Theatre. Accounts differ on whether the adult programming began in 1968 or the name arrived in 1975.

The shortest adult run in this directory. It turned to adult films in 1981 and closed before the year was out.
