Adult Movie Theatres in Huntsville

Alabama · last checked 26 October 2026

Huntsville has a working video arcade with a floor of booths above the shop, open until midnight on weeknights and one in the morning at weekends, busy enough on a Friday that a customer wrote down the hours the crowd changes. It is not hidden. It advertises its address, it answers the phone, and it has been there for years. It is simply impossible to find, because every system that files it has filed it under something else.

The shop floor is lingerie, toys and discs, and the reviews that Yelp puts in front of you are almost entirely about that. The arcade is upstairs at the back. The fullest description anyone has written of it is from February 2024 and is worth quoting precisely, because it is the only one: there is no theater at all, only video booths. The front 5 or 6 were just regular ones and toward the back were they fun ones. The same account gives the crowd by the hour, couples between eight and eleven on Fridays and Saturdays, and something less comfortable after that.

The hours above are not from the business. Its listing is unclaimed and carries no hours at all, so these come from third-party directories that agree with each other, one of them recording an update in June 2025. Telephone first if you are driving any distance.

Not counted. There is a second listing, Adult Video 2 at 13120 Memorial Parkway SW, in the same miscategorised corner of the directory. It has no reviews, no hours, no owner and no trace anywhere else on the web. We cannot show it is trading and we are not going to pad the number with it, so it is printed here as an address and left out of the count. The city also has three romance boutiques, Enchantasys, Pleasures and Sultry Company, none of which has a room, and Pony Bama, which is a strip club and not one of the four things we count.

Why you cannot find it

We nearly wrote Huntsville up as a city with nothing in it. The search that finds arcades everywhere else on this site, adult video booths arcade, returns no results at all for Huntsville. Not a thin list. Nothing, not even the usual spill into neighbouring towns.

The reason is that both of this city’s adult video shops are filed under “Videos & Video Game Rental”, the same category as a shop selling second-hand Nintendo games. They do not surface for adult theater, they do not surface for adult video booths arcade, and they do not even surface for plain adult video in Huntsville, a search that returns three lingerie boutiques and a strip club instead.

We found it by accident. Somebody reviewing one of those boutiques was unimpressed and wrote that they would rather go to the adult emporium. That is the entire reason this page exists, and it is not a research method, it is luck.

The second layer is the review filter. Yelp sorts reviews into ones it recommends and ones it does not, and puts the second group behind a separate page. For this shop, the split falls almost exactly on the evidence that it is still open.

Same shop, same review box. The record on display ran out two years ago. Everything proving the place is still trading is in the pile marked not currently recommended.

Read only what is on display and the last sign of life is September 2024, which by our own rule would make this a stale listing we decline to count. Click through to the filtered pile and there are four accounts between November 2025 and April 2026, three of them describing the upstairs rooms directly. The most recent is six months old. That is the difference between a venue on this site and a venue we leave off it, and it was decided by a sorting algorithm with no view on the question.

The first straight answer came from a machine

Across a hundred and thirteen cities, the thing we have documented most often is a question nobody answers. Someone asks a shop whether there are booths, and the question sits there for two years, seven years, unanswered while the owner replies to every review about parking.

In Huntsville, that changed this month. Somebody asked Adult Emporium’s listing what is upstairs in the back, eleven months ago. In October 2026 it was answered, and the answer is signed Yelp Assistant:

Upstairs in the back, there are video booths. The front 5 or 6 booths are regular, while those toward the back are described as more interactive. There is no theater upstairs, only these video booths.

Which is correct, and which is Christopher P.’s review from February 2024, reworded. The machine has no information of its own. It read the same page we read and handed it back to the person asking, two and a half years later, with the first-hand voice sanded off.

The second question is the more honest one. Asked how you get upstairs and what it costs, the same assistant said it could not find that out, that prices may vary, and gave the shop’s phone number. Nobody has ever written down the price of the booths at Adult Emporium, so there was nothing to summarise, and it said so instead of inventing a figure. We have some sympathy. That is the position we are in on most of these pages, and saying plainly that we do not know is most of what this site is for.

The difference is what each of us can do about it. A summary can only ever return what somebody already wrote down. It cannot notice that the last account of a shop in Asheville predates the hurricane that hit its road by three weeks. It cannot find the email address in a reply that proves two shops two thousand miles apart are the same company. It cannot read a court file. It could not have found this arcade at all, for the same reason we almost did not: nothing it was reading said the word.

In Alabama, the toys are filed under another name too

One more thing about this shop sits under a label that is not quite the truth, and this one is the state’s doing.

Alabama makes it a crime to sell any device designed or marketed as useful primarily for stimulating the genitals. Not to own one, not to use one, not to give one away. To sell one. The statute survived a decade of litigation and was upheld by the Eleventh Circuit in 2007, and the published text still carried the prohibition when it was last revised at the end of 2024.

Meanwhile the reviews of Adult Emporium are almost entirely people happily buying exactly those things, praising the prices and the range, and noting that dancers get a discount. Both of those can be true, because the ban is narrower than it sounds: a massager that is not marketed primarily for the purpose is lawful, so the trade turns on what the box says rather than what the thing is. We could find no reporting at all on whether anyone has been prosecuted under it in 2025 or 2026, and we are not going to tell you a law is dead because we did not find a news story about it.

It fits the pattern of the page, though. The shop is a video game rental store. The booths are rooms. The devices are massagers. The proof it is open is not currently recommended. And the one straight description of what is upstairs had to be rewritten by a machine before it counted as an answer.

What we could not establish

The price of the booths, and how you get up there. Asked in public, declined by the assistant, never written down by anybody in seven years of reviews. If you know, tell us.

Adult Video 2. An address and a category and nothing else. It may be trading, it may have closed a decade ago, and we have no way to tell from here.

Huntsville’s own rules. We did not find a city ordinance governing booths here, and unlike Shreveport, where the local rule explains the whole venue picture, nothing we found explains Huntsville one way or the other. Absence of a found ordinance is not absence of an ordinance.

And one open question nobody answered, which we are repeating here because it deserves better than the silence it got. In December 2025 a customer wrote that they had heard about the interactive rooms upstairs, had not gone up, and were not sure how a trans woman would be received. Nobody replied. The machine did not take that one either. We do not know the answer and would print it if we did.
